Mission: Collaborating across disciplines to combat zoonoses The purpose of this group is to bring human infectious diseases, microbiology and veterinary health practitioners together to address common challenges through collaborative knowledge translation activities focused on zoonoses at the human-animal interface. B. [...] Outline the outcomes and work completed since the last report: Since March 2023, we’ve worked to develop One Health programming for the AMMI annual meeting in Vancouver 2024. [...] Also, a JAMMI editorial on HPAI (led by Christian Renaud) has been finalized and proofed, in press. AMMI has also circulated relevant One Health-related opportunities for ongoing education (e.g. [...] speakers/content for One Health AMR symposium co-hosted with U Calgary, EPIC (U Toronto) & AMMI (Toronto, Nov 2023). [...] Through links with the Royal Society of Canada, Working group members S. Mubareka and T. [...] Hatchette also co-led/contributed to an inter-sectoral ( with PHAC, CFIA and NRC coordinated) national meeting on HPAI. S. [...] Mubareka is also coordinating a strategic meeting on One Health research ahead of the RSC’s G7 this November; invited D. [...] Define future goals and objectives 1) Continue to foster cross-sectoral partnerships for research and training 2) Strive for a One Health related high profile keynote speaker in plenary for the annual meeting in Toronto in 2025.
