Particularly in the statutory setting, that I was located in, as there were a number of crisis in the last couple weeks. • The academic work made placement more stressful and has detracted from the experience rather than adding to it however it has been manageable. [...] • I was supported in my 3rd placement to take part in a couple of learning opportunities in adult support and protection. [...] • My final year placement was in a social care agency, there were hardly opportunities available and due to high number of students in the course, i had no option but to continue the placement. [...] • It was good to gain hands on experience • The placement although very informative and supportive did not prepare me for the high workload levels as a newly qualified social worker.
