The strategy contains prioritized project ideas to present to the GCF through the development and implementation of Panama’s GCF Country Programme. [...] Thus, the goal of this GCF Readiness grant is to support FN and FWI to obtain accreditation as Panama’s DAEs to the GCF. [...] The overall objective is to strengthen the capacity of the two candidate DAEs in their technical and institutional capacity, procedures, and related systems to meet GCF accreditation standards. 2.6. [...] A training plan will be developed and implemented for potential proponents to strengthen the design of proposals to access climate finance. [...] FN is a non-for-profit organization legally established in 1991 to promote the protection and conservation of Panama's natural heritage. [...] FN is responsible for all processes related to the administration, awarding, monitoring, and control of Panama's Climate Change Adaptation Program. [...] The National Climate Change Strategy and the GCF Country Programme will be used as part of training under Output 1.2.2. [...] Additionally, the project includes an exchange of FN and FWI with a selected DAEs in the region (south-south exchange) that has successfully implemented Readiness support on institutional capacity building and coordination for GCF accreditation (Activity 1.2.2d) and organize a multi- stakeholder workshop to share the lessons learned from that exchange (Activity 1.2.2e).
