The Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for Children and Young People (commonly, the Cass Review) was commissioned in 2020 by NHS England and NHS Improvement and led by Hilary Cass, a retired consultant paediatrician and former President of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. It was commissioned to make recommendations about the services provided by the NHS to children and young people who are questioning their gender identity or experiencing gender incongruence.
